Borneo Esports Campus Championship

The Borneo Esports Campus Championship at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), here, was held to scout talented gamers to play professionally, Friday.Featuring six esports titles that would also be used in the upcoming SEA Games 2019 at Manila, the three-day tournament witnessed two teams from UMS outperforming other teams in two of three categories.In Dota 2, Team Skrrr’Skrrr of UMS was crowned the champion after defeating Unimas eSports from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), while Love Empire of UMS took third.The current football esports title, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, saw A.C.E of UMS taking the title, defeating Rulesbreaker’s of Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic for the crown. Tatsunami of UMS took third in that category.

As for Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Unimas E-Sports took first after defeating both UMSKAL E-SPORTS and LEXUS, who settled for second and third respectively.Winners for each category would be representing Borneo zone for the final round of Esports Campus Championship which is set to be staged at Universiti Malaya this month with a prize pool of RM180,000.
