The new signing was welcomed into the fold at Parc des Princes in the traditional way – by standing up and performing a song for his team-mates – but did not appear to enjoy it.
Luckily for Paris Saint-Germain, Julian Draxler was not bought for his singing.
The Germany international was made to go through the traditional initiation at a new club of standing up and performing a song for his team-mates, but is apparently not blessed with much in the way of natural rhythm.
Draxler performed the French song ‘Aicha’ – originally released in 1996 by Algerian artist Khaled – before PSG’s match against Bastia on Saturday but was barely audible on a video filmed by fellow midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
To Draxler’s credit, he did throw in a few, albeit unenthusiastic, dance moves – and at least he’s making an effort to learn the language.
PSG take on Bastia on Saturday looking to seal a place in the last 32 of the Coupe de France, which they won in both 2015 and 2016.
