ICE London kicks off with heavy discussion on gaming legislation globally, in the US as well as in Europe.
Across the pond in the US, the Doj (Department of Justice) decided that the 2011 Wire Act prohibits all forms of gambling and not just sports betting. Perhaps this is the reason why in this edition of ICE, there is a huge presence of US major names in gaming. Clarion’s event director Rory Credland shared on the leading story on ICE Daily – “The future of igaming across the entire US will be the top debating subject in the range of conference seminars that we will conduct in Boston.”
Netherlands Debates Online Gaming and Casino Reform Bill
In the Netherlands, Today marks the start of the Senate debate for two bills – the first on legalising online gaming and the other on a casino reform. Decisions on both bills are expected next week, after clearing the lower house.
