FIFA 21 may have just been released last week, but a property developer company in Malaysia has wasted no time in organising a FIFA 21 tournament to help Malaysian amateur and semi-professional players carve out a career in esports.
The online tournament, which is open for registration now, is scheduled to run from October 18 to October 25, and the finals will be streamed live on IOI Properties Group’s official Facebook page.
Boasting a prize pool of RM10,000 (US$2,410) IOI Properties Group is also teaming up with professional Malaysian FIFA player Luqman “Fenrir” Haziq to bring the inaugural IOI Esports FIFA21 Challenge to life.
“We are pleased to be able to help build a strong foundation for esports skills, one of the increasingly popular interests amongst youths.
“With this competition, we are providing equal opportunity to all by facilitating grassroots participation; a valuable segment which is often overlooked,” said IOI Properties Group Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Jason Tie in a statement recently.
The IOI Esports FIFA21 Challenge comprises of three segments, and if you are interested to show your mettle against other players, registrations are absolutely free!
