For the first time in the history of the Malaysian Counter Strike Global Offensive scene, our very own local eSports team have qualified to participate in Europe against other top international teams! 5 Malaysians from Frostfire will be going against top international teams such as Virtus Pro and G2 at Belgium this April 11 2019.
The team will be attending the Charleroi Esports tournament, which was initially represented by Team [email protected] for the Asian Qualifiers. Due to undisclosed issues between Team Dreamscape and Charleroi Esports, the second finalist, Frostfire, had been chosen. The team will be playing against 7 more teams at the main event of the Charleroi Esports and the champion of the tournament will be carrying home a total of 50,000 Euros.
The team consists of Aiman Azham “aimaNNN”, Ashraf Firdaus “acAp”, Shamir Zaman “Subbey”, Affiq Affendy “Nutr1x”, and Mohd NorAzwan “Avirity”. They’re a young team with plenty of experience, having represented Malaysia on an international level for several occasions such as the World Electronic Sports Games organised by AliSports a branch of Alibaba Group as well as the eXTREMESLAND ZOWIE Asia CS:GO that has been organised by ZOWIE in 2018 last year.
This talented and fully Malaysian team has been training hard to become one of the best team in Malaysia, with a goal to bring the country’s name to the international community of CSGO. Their qualification and participation has shown that they’re ready for the bigger, world-class stage and for that, we wish them good luck and continue to do us proud!
