Malaysian eSports team, Team Secret, will be representing the country in the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) Grand Finals being held in Dubai this year
According to a press release, the finals will be streamed worldwide from Dubai from Jan 21 to 24, 2021.
PUBG Mobile Global eSports director James Yang said after running the earlier league online, they were excited to have the finals in Dubai to reward the finalists with a tournament fit for inspiring champions.
“Although the finals are not open to the public offline due to the pandemic situation, we still want to deliver the best way we can. The PMGC Finals will be our biggest event yet, showing the scale and strength of mobile eSports,” he said.
The other ASEAN teams were Bigetron Red Aliens, RRQ Athena, Secret Jin, Power888 KPS, and Aerowolf Limax.
Bigetron Red Aliens from Indonesia and RRQ Athena from Thailand were ranked second and third respectively, based on their performance during the qualifying round.
