The Razer Phone 2, which is optimised for mobile gaming, is now available in Malaysia for RM3,449.

It has a 5.7in UltraMotion IGZO display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate for a smoother gaming experience, and a 120Hz touch sampling so it stays responsive under heavy gaming.

The smartphone has stereo front-facing speakers with dual amplifiers and supports Dolby Atmos technology for an immersive sound experience.

Under the hood, it has a “vapour chamber” cooling system to ensure that the phone does not overheat when running demanding games.

The Razer Phone 2, which runs on Android 8.1, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, Adreno 630 graphic processing unit, 8GB RAM and 64GB storage that’s expandable with a micro SD card (up to 1TB).

The company says the phone is optimised for popular titles like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG Mobile), Marvel Future Fight and RuneScape.

To make the phone stand out, the Razer triple-headed snake logo on the back of the device can be set to light up in various colours when the user receives social media notifications.

The smartphone has dual rear cameras – a 12-megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel sensor with telephoto lens offering 2x zoom. The front camera is 8 megapixels and supports video streaming at full HD resolution.

The smartphone also has a 4,000mAh battery and meets the IP67 standard for dust and water resistance.

Irene Ng, the vice president for mobile in Razer Asia Pacific said the company has identified Malaysia as one of its key markets in South-East Asia.

“Previously, when we released the Razer Phone 1 for only in the United States and Europe, users here reached out to us and they wanted to know if the model will be available here. So finally in 2019 we decided to no longer disappoint our fans here,” she said.
