Esports Malaysia (ESM) has just announced via their Facebook page that they will be holding a nationwide eSports player selection to find Malaysian representatives for the 2019 SEA Games.

The five games that gamers will be competing in are Dota 2, StarCraft II, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Arena Of Valor (AOV) and Tekken 7.

Acting president of ESM Datuk Ananth S. Nathan said

“the inclusion of eSports into the 30th edition of the SEA Games is a giant leap for the national body as well as our state associations and marks a major milestone in the expansion of eSports here”.

Registration for qualifier events is currently open on the ESM website to all Malaysians over the age of 13, with those under 18 requiring parental consent, and in possession of a valid passport.

The 2019 SEA Games will take place in the Philippines on Nov 30 to Dec 11.
