Vietnam Corona Resort Back to Business

Vietnam Corona Resort and Casino located on Phu Quoc island announced on its official website that operations at the resort and gaming facilities recommenced on Friday (May 8), after a month closure amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vietnam Corona Resort and Casino announcement indicated that the complex would launch fresh incentive programmes and amenities to serve tourists from wherever they hail.

When the venue launched in January 2019, the management said that the property’s casino was permitted to serve economically-qualified local players under a three-year pilot scheme of the Vietnam government.

Vietnam Corona Resort and Casino had initially stated on its website that the property was to be closed from April 1 to April 15 to help tackle the Covid-19 threat. That shutdown was then extended.

The Vietnam government had given guidance that vigilance and so called social distancing measures were still required even if restrictions were lifted.

Not all casinos in Vietnam have re-opened, with Australian-listed Donaco International Ltd one firm to have extended the closure period of its casino at Aristo International Hotel in Lao Cai until further notice.
